Richard C. Ainsworth
President and Founder of Faux Finesse

Born and raised in Africa Richard has always loved the colors of the earth and the richness and beauty of the landscape.  This inherent love of nature and natural beauty transcends itself throuhout his work which, along with his well honed artistic talents, has lead to the creation of some of the most innovative and exotic finishes found in the world of Faux today.

Richard began his studies in Perivale, London under the tutelage of the late Henry Mayor, a Master Grainer.  He then went on to study at the Day School in New York and in San Francisco.  Richard decided to settle in Southwest Florida and went on to found Premier Painting, Inc. and Faux Finesse in 1985.  Due to his business acumen and artistic talents which he has passed on to younger artists, the business has thrived ever since and boasts an impeccable reputation.  Our goal is to continue to create new standards and strive for a higher level of excellence and artistry.

Joanna Sime
Artist

Joanna was born and raised in England where as a young girl she competed at the International level in Women's Artistic Gymnastics.  On completion of her Olympic Career she was awarded a scholarship to Penn State University where she further cultivated her artistic talents.  On completion of her Bachelors Degree she went on to study at The Royal College of Art in London, England.  As a talented Faux Finisher and Muralist she has completed beautiful works in the homes of both Royalty and Senators in the United States and Europe.

Christian Fernandez
Artist

Christian is of European Ancestry and was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  he comes from a cultured and educated family well versed in the arts.  Christian studies at the University of Argentina and since his arrival in the United States, he has had extensive training in the Art of Faux at the Faux Effects School in Vero Beach, Florida.  With a very natural artistic flair and under the tutelage of Richard Ainsworth, he has become an extremely accomplished and talented finisher.

Katherine Harrington
Office Manager

Katherine, also born and raised in Africa, arrived in Naples 4 years ago, and per chance stumbled upon a fellow countryman – Richard!  Having graduated from high school in Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia), she furthered her education in neighboring South Africa and achieved a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.  Her healthy curiosity about people and their cultures, has taken her on many travels around the world, from picking bananas on a kibbutz in Israel to skiing in Austria!  Her working experience has mostly been in South Africa and the United Kingdom.
